Best restaurant in Long Valley. Friendliest service. Guacamole is off the charts. Prices are too low, charge more, stay in business!!
If you enjoy authenticity, this is a unique and special place. Nestled in a small historic building in old downtown Long Valley (formally German Valley & Dutch Valley), there is a distinctive ambiance inside and out. After taking in the warm fireplace, wooden floors and different dining rooms, examination of the menu revealed an array of genuine regional cuisine (i.e.: Oxtail soup, Tongue soft tacos, traditional Guatemalan, etc.). Aromas, presentation and taste all exceeded expectations ... then we met the family owners (parents cook, daughters are a server and hostess) - couldn't be nicer. Andrew Zimmern would enjoy this experience. We will return many times!

Our first visit, and I was a bit disappointed. Everything was a little "off". The lighting, the spacing of the tables, and most importantly the food. I had a combo fajitas, and I found them bland. And the presentation was lacking - I had to ask for sour cream, no guacamole or tomatoes, although I didn't push my luck. Even the tortillas seems lacking. Too small too thick, no flavor. Service was friendly and prompt. We'll try once again. Give me the Grub Hut in Manville any day!
